Behavior Management Dog Training in Columbus, Ohio
Our Behavior Management Board & Train program is designed for dogs struggling with challenging behaviors such as reactivity, resource guarding, separation anxiety, or aggression.
Every dog is different, so we don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. We individually evaluate each dog and build a training program around their specific needs, behavior, and goals.
Our goal is to help create greater reliability and understanding while giving you the tools and guidance needed to continue your dog’s training at home.
Is Behavior Management Right for My Dog?
This program may be appropriate for dogs who:
Are highly reactive toward other dogs or people
Resource guard food, toys, or people
Struggle with significant separation anxiety
Display aggressive behavior
Have challenging behaviors that are interfering with everyday life
Human aggression cases are evaluated individually to determine the best approach for each dog. No situation is automatically considered a no-go. We’ll talk through your dog’s behavior and determine whether our program is an appropriate fit.
How Our Behavior Management Program Works
1. Phone Consultation
We’ll start with a phone consultation to learn more about your dog, their behavior, your concerns, and your goals.
2. Meet & Greet - When Needed
If we determine that an in-person meet and greet is necessary, we’ll use that time to further evaluate your dog and determine the best approach moving forward.
3. Individualized Board & Train
Behavior Management Board & Train programs are typically 3+ weeks. Each dog receives an individualized training plan based on their specific behaviors, needs, and goals.
4. Home Lesson & Continued Training
Before your dog goes home, we’ll provide a dedicated home lesson to teach you how to work with your dog and continue the training. You’ll go home with instruction and tools to help you maintain and build on the progress made during the program.
Behaviors We Can Help With
Every dog and behavior case is unique. Our Behavior Management program may be appropriate for dogs struggling with:
Reactivity
Dogs who become highly reactive or difficult to manage around other dogs, people, or certain environments.
Resource Guarding
Guarding food, toys, people, spaces, or other resources.
Separation Anxiety
Dogs who struggle with being separated from their owners and have difficulty settling or remaining calm when alone.
Aggressive Behavior
Dogs displaying aggressive behavior toward people or other dogs. Human aggression cases are evaluated individually so we can determine the safest and most appropriate approach.
Other Challenging Behaviors
If your dog’s behavior isn’t listed above, don’t assume that means we can’t help. We’ll learn more about your situation during the initial phone consultation and determine whether our program is an appropriate fit.
Behavior Management Board & Train
Behavior Management Board & Train programs are typically 3+ weeks, depending on your dog’s individual needs, behavior, and training goals.
Because every case is different, we’ll determine the appropriate length and training plan based on your dog’s individual evaluation.

Going Home: Continuing the Training
Training doesn’t end when your dog’s Board & Train stay is over.
Before your dog goes home, you’ll receive a dedicated home lesson where we’ll teach you how to work with your dog and continue the skills we’ve been building.
You’ll also go home with instruction and tools to help you continue practicing and reinforcing your dog’s training in everyday life.
